This document from the District Education Officer (SE) Gujranwala, dated August 21, 2025, addresses the engagement of teachers for 9th and 10th-grade classes, stating that:
- Only SST (Secondary School Teacher) teachers are to teach Classes 9th and 10th in all schools.
- EST (Elementary School Teacher) teachers may be engaged by the Head of Institution for teaching these classes only in case of a shortage of SST teachers.
- This directive aims to ensure the continuity of academic activities and compliance is mandatory.
- The directive was issued following observations that ESTs and PSTs (Primary School Teachers) were teaching Matric classes despite the presence of SSTs.
اعلیٰ افسران کے دوروں کے دوران یہ دیکھا گیا ہے کہ ای ایس ٹی اور پی ایس ٹی اساتذہ میٹرک کلاسز کو پڑھا رہے ہیں حالانکہ ایس ایس ٹی اساتذہ اسکول میں موجود ہیں۔
یہاں یہ ہدایت دی جاتی ہے کہ تمام اسکولوں میں صرف ایس ایس ٹی اساتذہ ہی کلاس نویں اور دسویں کو پڑھائیں گے۔ کسی بھی اسکول میں ایس ایس ٹی اساتذہ کی کمی کی صورت میں، ادارہ کا سربراہ ای ایس ٹی اساتذہ کو نویں اور دسویں جماعت کو پڑھانے کے لیے شامل کر سکتا ہے تاکہ تعلیمی سرگرمیوں کے تسلسل کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔
تمام سربراہان کو ہدایت کی جاتی ہے کہ وہ ان ہدایات پر مکمل طور پر عمل کریں۔ عدم تعمیل کو سنجیدگی سے دیکھا جائے گا۔

Subject: ENGAGEMENT OF TEACHERS FOR CLASSES 9TH & 10TH
During visits of high-ups it has been observed that the ESTs and PSTs are teaching to Matric Classes although the SSTs are present ing school.
It is hereby directed that only SST teachers shall teach Classes 9th and 10th in all schools. In case of shortage of SST teachers in any school, the Head of Institution may engage EST teachers for teaching Classes 9th and 10th to ensure continuity of academic activities.
All Heads are instructed to comply with these directions in letter and spirit. Non-compliance will be viewed seriously.
